Alabama Athletic Communications

Crimson Tide softball returns to Oklahoma City for the tenth time making their fourth trip to the WCWS in the last five years. They won a national championship in 2012 and was runner-up last season.

The Tide are behind the eight ball, in the loser's bracket after being shutout by Michigan on Thursday 5-0.

Bama faced the No. 2 seed Oregon Ducks on Saturday and got back to their winning ways.

Winning Pitcher - Alexis Osorio

Bama only managed three hits but two runs were enough for the Tide to eliminate the Ducks from the WCWS for the second straight year. Chandler Dare's two run single gave Alabama an early lead. Osorio struck out nine on 111 pitches.

Alabama now faces LSU. Oddly enough, the two teams did not meet this season. The Tigers have had 24 hours to rest after losing to Florida on Friday 4-0.

The game was scheduled to begin at 8:30pm CT (ESPN). However due to the lateness of Auburn's 10th inning win over UCLA, first pitch will be at 10:42pm CT.
