After much hemming and hawing and speculation, 4-star Kobie Eubanks made his official announcement that he will play basketball for Avery Johnson's Crimson Tide in 2015.
The 6-5/212 shooting guard from Fort Lauderdale, FL (Elev8 Sports Institute), is a consensus 4-star and rated in the Top 100 by the four major recruiting sevices. Scout ranks him as the 63rd best in the nation.
A high-level scorer, Eubanks is aggressive when he has opportunities to get points. He attacks defenders off the dribble, is comfortable pulling up for mid-range jumpers and has good-looking form on his shot. He's a good shooter off the catch from three and has good range on his shot. Eubanks plays well through contact. He's willing to go to the block, where he likes to drop in fadeaways over defenders. He's a legitimate high major prospect.
Eubanks will ably fill the hole left from the abrupt departure of Ricky Tarrant.
He made an official visit to the Capstone in May and might just be bringing along his kid brother in 2017. You may recall that his younger brother Nick Eubanks is a 4-star 2016 tight end prospect who appears to be a Tide lean.
Kobie chose Bama over Kansas, Oregon, Texas, Baylor, and Pitt.
