DAY 1 RECAP
Monday was the first day of the 2015 SEC Football Media Days (SECMD) in Hoover, AL with frankly not much to report. The only "highlight" was footage of Auburn coach Gus Malzahn and his wife at Waffle House. ZZZZzzzz.... Reporters were so hard up for storylines they tried to make his order of a steak omelette go viral. #IveNeverEatenAtWaffleHouseSober
The Tigers QB Jeremy Johnson left the interviews with the 2015 Heisman Award given out by the desperate starving media of the SEC. Construction of a statue of his likeness on the Plains are in the planning stages. #ExtremeSarcasmFont
Next up was Florida Coach Jim McElwain at his first SECMD. He did well and handled many questions about his connection to Nick Saban and Alabama with great diplomacy. #NoSarcasmFont
It was downhill from there after a flat day finished up with Vanderbilt Coach Derek Mason completely taking all of the air out of the room. #BadHire
TUESDAY, JULY 14
Hopefully, today will produce a few more fireworks. Steve Spurrier kicks off the day and is always good for a quirky quote or a dig at someone. Also, there are some questions as to whether this will be the Ol' Ball Coach's LAST SECMD.
It will also be interesting to hear comments from TAMU's Kevin Sumlin whose seat in College Station might be heating up.
MSU QB Dak Prescott will be the star of the afternoon session. Can he get that Heisman hype back?
