The media hath spoken, and they have released the three-deep All-SEC teams for the 2015 season. Sadly, an Alabama placekicker was not selected.
6 Alabama players named preseason first-team All-SEC | AL.com
Alabama had a conference-best six players named preseason first-team All-SEC Friday. Two offensive players — sophomore left tackle Cam Robinson and senior center Ryan Kelly — were preseason first-team All-SEC selections. So were junior defensive lineman A'Shawn Robinson, senior linebacker Reggie Ragland, senior cornerback Cyrus Jones and sophomore punter JK Scott. Ragland and Scott were first-team All-SEC picks last year.
I don't have too many quibbles with the list. I do think Alex Collins and Josh Dobbs are going to have excellent years, though, and Dobbs is arguably integral to Tennessee's season, whereas Auburn can almost plug and play anyone with a live arm: the receivers are dynamic and the running back corps very deep.
The only sorta' surprises were tabbing Eddie Jackson at safety and O.J. Howard at Tight End (both are third-team selections.)
