It’s really hard to not like Michigan sitting there as a touchdown favorite against a team that can’t stop the run and that can’t move the ball vertically. Like LSU-Alabama, this one should be a low-scoring ugly game too. But, if it comes down to in-game coaching, and it may, give me Urban Meyer over anyone not named Nick Saban (hell, I’ll take Meyer about 50-50 on that one too depending on the game.)
Other games that cry out to spend the Christmas cash on: Utah getting 10 in Boulder, ditto Toledo in Kalamazoo, LSU just a 5.5 point favorite tonight, Duke as a 15-point ‘dog in Miami, and Ole Miss as a 7.5 Egg Bowl favorite. (Mississippi State is seriously bad, you guys.)
Alabama is an 18-point favorite. I think the Tide covers that one fairly handily, but, as usual, I’m not willing to rule out the backdoor cover against an Auburn program that has sold its soul to Baphomet since 1983.
