Week 11 CFB Point Spreads: Alabama opens as a nearly 30-point favorite against Bully

Mississippi State’s stunning victory over A&M is not garnering much traction among oddsmakers

Despite Alabama’s scoring deficiency against an LSU team that will not play a better defensive game this season, and despite Mississippi State abusing Texas A&M’s nougaty-soft interior, neither result is getting much play in Vegas this week.

Alabama opens as an unreal 29-point favorite in Tuscaloosa this week. And, you know what, I think they cover that one — pretty handily in fact. A 45-10, 42-7 kind of game seems likely. Another game to watch is the resurgent Trojans on the road in Seattle: It will be a fun game, but at eight points, that’s begging to lose some money.

Outside of Alabama, the only games I really like in the Top 25 are a ghastly Maryland team hosting the Buckeyes, who are looking for style points (Urban is going to do filthy things here); while there’s no line at the moment, give me the Aggies at home, where they will run the ball about 60 times against a bad Ole Miss interior; and, I do think the LSU Tigers rebound in Fayatteville — and, favored by less than a touchdown, this one looks like a good play, for the same reason I think Auburn beats Georgia: better line play and running game (though not, maybe, by the 10 point spread.) Finally, I like Texas Tech as a 12-point dog against the Okie Lite Cowboys: In another shootout, Mahones excels.

Which games do you like? Here are the week 11 lines:
