The granddaddy of them all, the Associated Press, released its All-American roster yesterday afternoon. Alabama led all teams, placing four on the first-team roster:

Jonathan Allen: First-team All-SEC, SEC defensive player of the year, Bronko Nagurski defensive player of the year award, Chuck Bednarik defensive player of the year trophy, Maxwell Award finalist

Reuben Foster: Butkus Award, Nagurski Award finalist, first-team All-SEC

Minkah Fitzpatrick: First-team All-SEC, Thorpe Award finalist

Cam Robinson: First-team All-SEC, Outland Trophy, Jacobs Blocking Trophy

Senior outside linebacker, Tim Williams (second-team All-SEC) was chosen Second Team All-American.

Senior tight end O.J. Howard (Mackey Award finalist, second-team All-SEC) was selected for the AP’s Third Team.

Congratulations again to all six on their outstanding achievements and Roll Tide.
