Alabama vs. Auburn Game Thread

Alabama Crimson Tide (16-11, 7-8 SEC) vs. Auburn Tigers (11-16, 5-10 SEC)

John Reed-USA TODAY Sports

Alabama's last run at the NCAA Tournament begins today, and there is no better opponent to start things off against than the Auburn Tigers. Bruce Pearl's team comes to Tuscaloosa looking to sweep Alabama in the season series for the first time since 2009, while simultaneously ending Alabama's surprising NCAA Tournament bid. Avery Johnson couldn't pick a better time to get his first win against Auburn as coach of the Crimson Tide.

Auburn's leading scorer from the previous meeting, Kareem Canty, is no longer on the Auburn roster. However, T.J. Dunans, who missed nearly two months of the season with an injury, has returned for the Tigers. This is a huge game for the Tide both on and off the court, as there are going to be a number of big-time basketball and football prospects on hand. The football team will also be presented the Foy-ODK Sportsmanship Award at halftime for their victory over Auburn in November.
