Athlon's has broken the ice with the release their SEC preview. Through four teams, 14 Crimson Tide players are mentioned. One of the more interesting ones is Bo Scarbrough as third team running back despite only 18 carries in his college career. Of course these teams are based on how players will perform in 2016.

Sophomore wide receiver Calvin Ridley and junior left tackle Cam Robinson were first-team offense selections, while seniors Jonathan Allen (defensive line), Reuben Foster (linebacker) and Eddie Jackson (safety) were named to the first-team defense. Junior punter JK Scott was named first team punter.

Tight end O.J. Howard was named to the second team behind Ole Miss' Evan Engram. LB Tim Williams and CB Minkah Fitzpatrick were named to the second defensive squad with Adam Griffith as the kicker.

Scarbrough is joined on the offensive team by fellow sophomore Ross Pierschbacher. LB Ryan Anderson is on the defensive side.

Junior DL Da'Shawn Hand is the sole Tide fourth teamer.
