As you are probably aware, large parts of Baton Rouge have been flooded, with many people losing their homes and possessions. Alabama football has set up a drive and is encouraging you to donate:
Alabama football requests help filling equipment truck with Louisiana flood relief supplies | AL.com
The Alabama football program is asking for help packing its equipment truck with supplies for victims of the massive Louisiana floods. The 18-wheeler will make several stops around Tuscaloosa on Saturday where items can be dropped off for delivery. Floods have wreaked havoc on parts of Louisiana including Baton Rouge and rival LSU's campus.
-- Tuscaloosa Government Plaza, Saturday (7-11 a.m.) at Scott Cochran's "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah 5K."
-- Tuscaloosa Amphitheater, Saturday evening
-- Home Depot in Tuscaloosa, Aug. 21-23 (11 a.m. until 6 p.m.)
There is a list of requested items at the link.
Among those affected by the flood is Billy Gomila, editor of LSU's SB Nation site, "And the Valley Shook." There is a gofundme page set up to help his family rebuild their home; just click the link.
There are times when people need to come together and help one another. This is one of those times. If you are able, please consider giving to these folks who are suffering through disaster.
Thank you and Roll Tide.
