Alabama had its last of two required practices in helmets and shorts today, and we have recaps from Michael Casagrande and Marq Burnett:
Alabama practice report: Updating Bo Scarbrough, different looks on o-line | AL.com
- On the offensive line, there were some guys playing in different spots. When they lined up five across, Jonah Williams was with the first group at right tackle. Bradley Bozeman was next to him at right guard.
-- Korren Kirven was with the second team at right tackle while true freshman Scott Lashley the third teamer.
-- On the left side, Matt Womack was with the second group at left tackle.
Alabama practice report: Changes along the offensive line and more from second workout of fall camp
Speaking of Taylor, he was spotted at right guard with the second offensive line. That group had Korren Kirven at right tackle, J.C. Hassenauer at center, Dallas Warmack at left guard and Matt Womack at left tackle. The third group had Scott Lashley at right tackle, Deonte Brown at right guard, Josh Casher at center, Brandon Kennedy at left guard and Chris Owens at left tackle.
Freshman running back B.J. Emmons is an impressive looking kid. He has the build of a feature running back, and looks big enough to be able to take the punishment week-in and week-out in the SEC.
Lots of shuffling going on with the right side of the offensive line. Right now it would appear that Bradley Bozeman has a great chance to start at one of the two spots since only he has been in the first group at both practices, once at guard and once at tackle. It does appear that the coaches like the look of the Robinson/Cotton/Pierscbacher combo on the other side, however. It will be an upset if that isn't the left side against USC.
Absolutely nothing to report on QBs, which will probably be the case for a while. Bo Scarbrough reportedly looked to be full speed and Emmons was running fourth behind Bo, Harris and Gore.
On a lighter note, it took exactly one practice in Tuscaloosa for coach Dunbar to shed the sweats in favor of lighter attire.
Tomorrow will be the first full pads practice for the annual Fan Day event, starting at 2:30 CT.
Roll Tide.
