Following the big win in Oxford, Qb Jalen Hurts and S/PR Eddie Jackson were honored by the SEC:

Alabama freshman QB Jalen Hurts receives SEC weekly honor

While Hurts only threw for 158 yards, he ran for 146 in becoming the first Alabama quarterback to rush for 100-plus yards in a game since Tyler Watts in 2001.

In addition, Tide safety Eddie Jackson was named SEC co-Special Teams Player of the Week after returning a punt 85 yards for a touchdown against Ole Miss.

Tide RB Damien Harris likely received some consideration as well, rushing for 144 yards on 16 carries, but both awards are well deserved.
