Vegas looks to be holding steady on LSU and Florida. Meanwhile, consistent poor play has lengthened the odds for Georgia, Tennessee, Clemson. The ‘Ville, Miami, Houston and Texas A&M saw their odds shorten, as all four got off to a hot start (and, 20/1 on Louisville looks to be some good value.) Curiously, Notre Dame, 0-2 against teams worth a damn, is still at 75/1. Meanwhile, Ole Miss, America’s first half national champion, has dropped to 100/1...and, that actually may not be a bad bet if a bunch of weird things start happening a la 2007.
Finally, despite doing its best to give away a game in Oxford, (and probably because it failed to do so in removing the Hugh Freeze jinx,) Alabama has solidified its stranglehold as the team to beat, moving to 7/2 odds to win it all in January.
