Nick Saban, ever in search of new motivation, has apparently challenged his team to win a national title without linebackers.
Alabama freshman linebacker Dylan Moses suffered a broken foot during the Crimson Tide's Monday practice and will need surgery, BamaOnLine has learned.
AL.com was first to report Moses' injury.
The only saving grace here is that Mack Wilson will be back, and was expected to start alongside a healthier Rashaan Evans in the base defense even with Moses in the fold. This is more a blow to depth than the starting lineup, but as we saw last season, depth can be critical in the playoffs. The onus on the Tide offense to find a way to stay on the field just got even more important.
