Next, your points spreads for today’s conference championship games. I like Ohio State to cover an ugly one, call it a touchdown or so. Take the over (81) on Memphis-UCF: I have no idea how the defenses will hold up there. Troy opened as a 2-point ‘dog to Arkansas State (in Conway,) but are now a 1-point favorite. I like the Trojans there too. Finally, North Texas has done a great job rebounding and making the CUSA title game. But Lane Kiffin’s castoff talent and power spread will be too much for the Eagles. Fresno State may not beat the Broncos two weeks in a row, but I don’t think they lose by 8.5 either.

I am steering well clear of: Auburn-UGA, TCU-Oklahoma, and Clemson-Miami. My suspicion is that the higher-ranked team will prevail in all of those, but you’re also relying on Dabo, Gus and Oklahoma to all win big games on the same day. I’m not willing to put my wallet there.
