NCAA Football: Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl-Alabama vs Washington Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

Ed. Note: Bobby Kunz is the newest member of our team and is working to help me out with some of the recruiting news out there. Some of the other sites out there, like Rivals and 247, occasionally post updates on new offers and recruit tweets just to let the readers get a feel for the rumors and names out there.

CB969 and I have neglected following suit over the years, as it’s a big project that neither of us were very interested in. That’s where Bobby came in, with this being his main focus.

Anyway, give him a big welcome and try to keep the hazing to a minimum. As this is a new series idea, criticize it with all you have give some constructive feedback in the comments. Let Bobby know more of what you guys would like to see.

With National Signing Day in the rear view mirror, Nick Saban and the rest of the staff in Tuscaloosa have switched their attention over to the 2018 and 2019 classes. Many top recruits will be making their way down to Title Town in the upcoming months for the spring festivities. Here's a look at the latest news surrounding Alabama recruiting:

2018 New Orleans, Louisiana, TE Glenn Beal has picked up an offer from the Tide. Alabama offered the 4-star TE a couple of weeks ago. Beal stands at 6-5 and weighs in at 250 pounds. The Louisiana native holds over 10 offers, including top programs such as LSU, Arkansas, Alabama, Texas and more. LSU looks to be the heavy favorite.

Chances Alabama lands Beal: Low

2018 4-star OT Max Wray has backed off his commitment to the Dawgs. The Franklin, Tennessee, native took a trip to Tuscaloosa and later decommitted from Georgia. The 6-5, 287 pound recruit holds over 19 offers from the likes of Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, LSU and others. His brother is a 2020 4-star OT, who also holds an Alabama offer.

Chances Alabama lands Wray: Extremely high

2019 DT and Georgia commit Rashad Cheney visited and picked up an Alabama offer a couple of weekends ago. The 6-3, 270 pound youngster holds over 7 offers, including some from Georgia, Alabama, LSU, South Carolina and others. Cheney told me that the Tide stick out to him, and that he has to evaluate his options very carefully.

Chances Alabama lands Cheney: Low-Medium

2018 4-star ATH and Charlotte, North Carolina native Dyami Brown has released his top five. The tweet says the list is in no order, but North Carolina is on top of his list and they are the heavy favorite. Alabama seems to be a long shot for the 6-2 athlete. Brown was just recently offered by the Tide.

Chances Brown goes with Alabama: Low

2018 DT Jeffery Johnson has received his 10th offer from Alabama. Johnson lives with his mother in Brookhaven, Mississippi. The massive DT, holds offers from Florida State, Mississippi State, Alabama, Florida and more. The 300+ pound lineman has named Florida State his leader. His mom will play a huge part in his recruitment. Johnson told me he is planning a visit to Bryant-Denny this upcoming fall.

Chances Johnson picks Alabama: Medium

4-star Florida DB and 2018 recruit Asante Samuel has named his top 5 schools. Alabama is among one of his top schools, with Florida State being the leader. Samuel holds over 40 offers and plays for a national powerhouse in St. Thomas Aqauinas. Samuels stands at 5-10 and plays with speed and exspolsivness.

Chances Samuel picks Alabama: Medium

Ed. note: No, the former New England Patriot and Atlanta Falcon is not coming back from retirement to play college ball again. This is his Jr. Are we getting old or what?

2018 4-star WR and one of my favorites in this class, Kamryn Babb, has picked up his 27th offer from the Tide. Babb is listed at 6-1, 190 pounds. He runs a 4.6 40 yard dash and plays with great instincts and route-running ability. The favorites are Ohio State and Missouri.

Chances Alabama lands Babb: Low-Medium

Last but not least in this weeks recruiting roundup, we have 4-star South Carolina QB Kereon Joyner. The 8th ranked dual-threat QB, Joynerhas a top two of Clemson and South Carolina. The 200 pound QB has good size at 6-3. Joyner holds over 14 offers. Expect Alabama to make a runat the speedster out on the east coast.

Chances Alabama lands Joyner: Medium

Yea, that’s Najee Harris. Already giving back to the community about a month after landing in Tuscaloosa. Stand up dude.
