The Bama Blitz: Recruiting evaluation period has begun and favorites are starting to emerge

Not only is A-Day this week, but for the recruiting world, Evaluation period has started. In case you want to know what that means exactly, look below. .

Now, let's get right into the thick of things as I break down the most recent recruiting headlines:

2018 4-star RB and in-state prospect Harold Joiner has added his 24th offer with the recent scholly from the Tide. Joiner is ranked as the 300th player in the country. Joiner holds offers from LSU and Auburn, and those two are the favorites to the land the 6’3 power back from Birmingham.

Chances Alabama lands Joiner: Low-Medium

2018 5-star DE KJ Henry has listed his top schools. The 6’6 end from North Carolina has been quiet throughout the whole recruiting process. Expect this recruitment to go until NSD, and Alabama will always be a contender to land his services.

Chances Alabama lands Henry: Medium

2018 4-star speedster and WR target Rondale Moore has added an offer from the Tide. Moore is a bit on the small side at 5’8, but his speed and elusiveness make him one of the hottest recruits in the country. Moore is a Louisville and OSU lean.

Chances Alabama lands Moore: Low

2018 4-star CB and Miami commit Joshua Jobe took a visit to Tuscaloosa last week. The top 50 player holds an Alabama offer and has seemed to always like Alabama. Jobe is definitely one to watch over the summer.

Chances Alabama lands Jobe: Medium

2018 3-star DE and Georgia native Azeez Ojulari has picked up his childhood dream offer from Alabama. The 6’3 end holds offers from Tennessee, Notre Dame, Georgia and more. Alabama is the favorite.

Chances Ojulari picks Alabama: High

2018 4-star QB Vernon Jackson has listed his top 5 schools. The Texas native has always liked Alabama, and them offering him a couple months ago has really changed his recruitment. Expect this to be a Oklahoma-Alabama battle until late in the summer.

Chances Alabama lands Jackson: Medium-High

South Florida and 4-star LB Amari Gainer has Alabama in his top 6. Gainer visited Alabama and Tuscaloosa for junior day, where he picked up an offer. I expect Alabama to land Gainer. He is one of my favorite recruits in the country for this cycle.

Chances Alabama lands Gainer: High

2018 4-star QB and Kentucky commit Jarren Williams adds his 21st offer from Alabama. The dual-threat QB has offers from LSU, South Carolina, Louisville and more. Expect Alabama to make a push and be a contender here.

Chances Alabama lands Williams: Medium

2018 4-star WR and top 50 player Jacob Copeland looks to be in love with Alabama after his last two trips. Copeland is from Florida, so Alabama will go down to the wire with FSU and Florida for his services. I expect Alabama to land Copeland.

Chances Alabama lands Copeland: High

4-star Tennessee OL and 2018 target Jerome Carvin took his first trip down to Alabama and loved it. The 6’5 Memphis native has Alabama lineman written all over it. Expect Alabama to close is on Carvin.

Chances Alabama lands Carvin: High

4-star DL and Alabama lean Jalen Cunningham lists his top 5. The 6’3 DL plays with power, speed, and savvy rarely seen in high school players. His football IQ is very high and Alabama should close in on Cunningham. He would be a much needed addition to this 2018 class.

2019 5-star QB JT Daniels took a visit to Tuscaloosa this week. JT is the #1 QB in the 2019 class and has shown interest in Alabama ever since they offered. Daniels visited with two teammates, both 4* defensive players in Tommy Brown and Solomon Tuliaupupu.
