With the morning slate soon in the books, we look forward to Part two of Week 1.

(I am no monster, so I will list all times as CT/ET)

AFTERNOON GAMES:

NC State (-6½) vs South Carolina 2pm/3pm ESPN (Charlotte, NC) - Sacaralina gave their fans a glimmer of hope last season. Are they worthy of that hope? Winning today would be a big first step. A surprising line. SC could win outright. Take the under.

#11 Michigan (-5) vs #17 Florida 2:30/3:30 ABC (Arlington, TX) - The second biggest game of the weekend will be a big indicator of what kind of team each of these schools have. What impact will ten suspended Gators have?

UTEP at #7 Oklahoma (-43½) 2:30/3:30 FOX - 33-year old Lincoln Riley makes his debut. Anything other than a four TD win will raise some eyebrows.

Temple at Notre Dame (-18½) 2:30/3:30 NBC - The Irish are coming off a 4-8 season. Did I mention that Notre Dame was 4-8 last year?

Alabama A&M at UAB (-28) 2:30/3:30 NO TV - They are back and should win against a FCS team that was 4-7 last year.

Nevada at Northwestern (-24) 2:30/3:30 BTN - A report says that David Cornwell will not be the starting QB for the Wolf Pack against.

William & Mary at Virginia (-26) 2:30/3:30 ACC - I’ve got nothing.

Troy at Boise (-10) 2:45/3:45 ESPNU - The Smurfs are only a ten point favorite at home. Upset special?

Kentucky (-10) at Southern Mississippi 3pm/4pm CBSSN - Some are picking the Golden Eagles to upset.

Charleston Southern at Mississippi State (-21½) 3pm/4pm SECN - Typical Bully opener.

Stony Brook at #19 South Florida 3pm/4pm espn3 - zzzz

Eastern Washington at Texas Tech 3pm/4pm NO TV - zzzz

Western Michigan at #4 Southern Cal (-28) 4:15/5:15 PM PAC12

Appalachian State at #15 Georgia (-13) 5:15/6:15 PM ESPN - Ten years ago yesterday, Appy upset fifth ranked Michigan. I’m just sayin’...

It’s just a few hours to the REAL game!

ROLL TIDE!
