The Tide leads 31-0 at half. So much for that vaunted Vandy defense.

NCAA Football: Alabama at Vanderbilt Jim Brown-USA TODAY Sports

The first half of this game has been about a good as any Bama fan could have expected. Jalen Hurts is 8/15 for 74 yards, though there’s been a couple of drops from the receivers hurting his stats.

Damien Harris and Bo Scarbrough have run through and around the Vandy defense while the Tide offensive line has dominated the LOS. Harris has 9 carries for 109 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Bo is right behind him with 9 more carries for 72 yards and two touchdowns of his own.

The defense got a shot in the arm with Anfernee Jennings and Rashaan Evans coming back, and totally smothered the Vandy offense to a total of 49 yards in the half.

The Commodores are totally out matched in this one, and I’d expect to see some Bama back-ups in pretty soon.
