Week Two College Football Lines: Tide opens as a six-touchdown favorite over Fresno State

RIP Bulldogs

<p zoompage-fontsize="15" style="">Las Vegas

The early lines from Week Two are out, and, as improbable as it may be, Alabama’s 41.5-point home chalk against the Fresno State Bulldogs seems about right. The once-proud Central Valley powerhouse has fallen on dark times and is easily one of the 20 worst teams in CFB. The passing game and protection needs ironing out, Najee and Tua and Ruggs and Jeudy need some development; the now-makeshift linebacking corps needs reps -- this will be the game to do those: The following weekend, the Tide take a significant step up in quality when Mike Bobo’s Colorado State Rams come calling. Alabama will cover the six touchdowns out of self-defense, I’d wager.

Other games I’m keeping an eye on: I like the Buckeyes at home by 5.5; Navy is favored by less than two touchdowns at home vs. the terrible Green Wave; Clemson is just -6 in a home night game vs. the Barn; and your trap game of the week, USC is a 5.5-point favorite at home vs. Stanford. I’m not taking any action on that last one; but, if I did, my cash would be on the Treeeees.

Because of the Holiday, the rest of the lines post day-of. What are you liking this week and why? Lines via Bookmaker.eu
