After losing defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt and secondary coach Derrick Ansley in the same year that teams are allowed to add a tenth on-field coach, Nick Saban has his work cut out for him. It appears that he has made a decision on one of the slots.
SOURCES: Former #TAMU special teams coordinator & recruiting coordinator Jeff Banks will become the new STC for #Alabama. Banks also had been one of the Aggies top recruiters, helped land Christian Kirk.

Banks served as interim head coach for the Belk Bowl after Kevin Sumlin’s dismissal. He has coached tight ends and special teams for the Aggies since 2013, and like most Saban staff hires is known as an excellent recruiter. Banks was the primary recruiter for five-stars Kyle Allen and Christian Kirk among several other blue chips that signed with the Aggies.
Kirk certainly believes that Saban made a good choice.
This is very scary.. Bama just got the best in the business. Congrats coach! @jbsttamu https://t.co/CUTz5yqOVd
