In recent seasons, the newcomer Under-Armour All-America Game has swooped in and stolen some glory from the US Army All-American Bowl. But this year, the Army game might just have the better group of high school prospects playing in their game. Among them are five of 247sports top 6 ranked recruits. Additionally, there could be more intrigue as many of the top unsigned and uncommitted are playing in this game.
SIGNED
Below are the four players who signed with Alabama during the Early Signing Period (ESP) with the jersey numbers and team.
6 EAST (black jersey) - Josh Jobe DB Tampa, FL 6-1/180 **** - Projects as a safety but could play cornerback at Bama. With good instincts and closing speed, he should see the field in 2018.
26 EAST - Jalyn Armour-Davis DB Mobile, AL 6-1/180 **** - He has solid technique and is very athletic. JAD also played offense and returned kicks for state champs St. Paul’s. Projects as a cornerback. UPDATE: Interception!
10 EAST - Skyler DeLong P Fort Mill, SC 6-4/180 *** - The heir apparent to JK Scott was selected to the team by Chris Sailer Kicking, the top evaluator of kickers.
72 WEST (yellow jersey) - Emil Ekiyor OL Indianapolis, IN 6-2/322 **** - Can play guard or center. It appears that he will not play today due to an injury but that does not stop him from recruiting!

ALABAMA TARGETS
2 EAST - Patrick Surtain DB Plantation, FL 6-1.25/199 ***** - LSU lean with Bama still in the running. He will visit Bama Jan 19.
8 EAST - Tyson Campbell DB Plantation, FL 6-2.5/180 *****- Surtain’s teammate leaning Miami over the Tide and UGA. He will also visit Bama Jan 19.
45 EAST - J.J. Peterson LB Norman Park, GA 6-1.5/210 **** - Bama was the leader but now Tennessee looks like the heavy favorite to get his signature. This is probably due to the Vols new head coach. He may announce today. UPDATE: Tennessee commit.
61 WEST - Penei Sewell OL St. George, UT 6-5/349 **** - Oregon might be leading the Tide with So Cal trailing. Not playing today due to an injury.
6 WEST - Isaac Taylor-Stuart DB La Mesa, CA 6-2/187 **** - He says he likes Bama and TAMU but my gut says he stays on the West Coast.
17 WEST - Jaylen Waddle WR Bellaire TX 5-9.5/175**** - Another Bama and TAMU battle.
CURIOSITIES
Clemson signee QB Trevor Lawrence (#16 EAST) is ranked as the #1 overall player for the Class of 2018 by 247sports and Rivals. UPDATE: So far has two interceptions and two fumbles.
4-star Tanner McKee will quarterback the West (#14). It was thought that he could sign with Alabama but he plans to go on a two-year Mormon mission and will not enroll until 2020. So much can change in two years...
Six players are expected to announce their commitments but none are heavily linked to Alabama. 4-star DB Kelvin Joseph is expected to announce for LSU over Alabama. UPDATE: He did.
COACHES
The coaching staffs are made up entirely of high school coaches, including former NFL All-Pros Derrick Brooks and Patrick Surtain Sr.
