To Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (to everything there is a season...) we need to add “gambling.” Practically no sphere of public life is immune from the wagers that are accepted in Vegas, London and Macau. If you can dream the action, there is a someone, somewhere who will take your money.
Let’s add “NFL Combine performance” to list of action where bookmakers will oblige you. From BetSDI Sportsbook:

I’m not going to suggest that you should take Tony Brown at under 4.39, although you should. I’d also throw a few bones on the wildcard here: Da’Ron Payne’s ability to break the 49-rep bench press record. He is the strongest player in the draft, easily. As a senior in high school, he was hitting 460 on the bar. I’m not saying it’s a sure thing, but I do like his chances to nail 200 pounds a couple dozen times with his improved conditioning and Scott Cochran taking the governor off him this year:
Da’Ron Payne was forced to stop last year, not allowed to go above 500 pounds on the bench press or 600 pounds on the squat.
That wasn’t the case this spring.
”They let me push it a lot this spring,” Alabama’s junior defensive tackle said.
The result? Payne bench-pressed 545 pounds and squatted 635 pounds despite being 10 pounds lighter than this time last year.
So, does Ridley break 4.42? What about Minkah? Tony Brown’s 40 action is here at “just” 4.39, while Derrius Guice is at 4.38. But look out for Robert Foster, the fastest player on the Tide roster, to have an athletic, zippy performance as well.
Anyone else stand out to you?
