With the 11th overall pick of the 1st round, the Miami Dolphins selected Minkah Fitzpatrick. He’ll join former teammate Kenyan Drake there and will be in line to be a starter on day one.
For their part, the Dolphins are getting a 3-year starter at defensive back from the best defensive back coaching in the entire nation. He has played outside corner, nickelback, and both safety positions, so he can play any position in the entire secondary and excel at it. However, he’s at his best near the line of scrimmage where he can use his excellent tackling abilities to make plays in the run game as well as shut down dangerous and featured slot receivers.
Roll Tide, and may you have a great, long career, Minkah.
