Yesterday was a reminder of the pathos and joys and sorrow and celebration that bouncer into our lives around this time every year. Little Leaguers and high school kids, minor league lifers and Cactus league rehabbers all bringing us a little something to reconnect us to our humanity.
Forget October, bottle these two endings up and inject them right into my veins.

At the end of an 11-inning slugfest, in a game where Florida gained the lead by stealing home, to have it end like this? It’s almost enough to make you feel sorry for Auburn.
