At first it seemed like weakside defensive end Jordan Davis had not reported to the Capstone because of his late graduation. Now it appears that the Memphis 4-star will be heading to Copiah-Lincoln (Miss.) Community College.
On Tuesday, he Tweeted this cryptic message:
So many let me down....learn my lesson now ....
— Jordan Davis... (@jlpdavis99) June 19, 2018
It is unclear what that means or what it is referring to.
Davis was rated the 108th best overall player among high school seniors and the sixth best at his position. He was the sixth highest rated player among his fellow Alabama Class of 2018 signees. The Tide was counting on him to fill in some depth along the defensive front. Fortunately, the Tide has Eyabi Anoma and Cameron Latu coming in as weakside DEs as well.
Here is to hoping he can work hard and get back to Tuscaloosa soon.
