Alabama got another big commitment last night, this time from OG/C Darrian Dalcourt out of St. Frances Academy (MD).
From BamaOnline:
Offensive coordinator Mike Locksley led the charge on the interior offensive lineman.
“We have a really good relationship,” Dalcourt said of Locksley. “I talk to him a lot. We’ve built a strong relationship.”
He’s also become close with offensive line coach Brent Key.
“As a player he says I’m pretty athletic and that he would love me at center,” Dalcourt said.
Dalcourt goes 6’3” and weighs in at 290 lb. Ranked as the #14 OG and #327 overall player in the 2019 cycle, he and 2019 LB commit Shane Lee follow former teammate Eyabi Anoma to Tuscaloosa, and Alabama is already hard after 2020 St. Frances product Chris Braswell, a five-star who is expected to be the top edge rusher in the class. Coach Locksley is clearly looking to build a pipeline here.
St. Frances has dominated its opponents to the point that nearly every team on its schedule decided to forfeit this fall’s game against them, forcing the Panthers to play a national schedule. Darrian spoke to the local news about it here.
Congratulations, Darrian, and Roll TIde!
