Alabama Crimson Tide (11-5, 2-2 SEC) at #3 Tennessee Volunteers (15-1, 4-0 SEC)

NCAA Basketball: Tennessee at Alabama Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports

The Crimson Tide head to Knoxville to play the best team they will see all season: the third-ranked Tennessee Volunteers. Rick Barnes has this veteran group playing incredible team basketball, and it will take the Tide’s absolute best to pull off a victory today.

With that being said, Alabama’s size makes them a tough match-up for the Vols. The Tide throttled this same group of guys a season ago 78-50 in Tuscaloosa, one of the marquee victories for Avery Johnson’s squad last year. A win today would be even bigger. It would pretty much erase some of the uglier losses Alabama currently has on their resume.

Alabama will likely go with the same starting five they’ve been utilizing in conference play: Kira Lewis, Tevin Mack, Dazon Ingram, Herbert Jones, and Donta Hall. Tennessee will counter with Jordan Bone, Yves Pons, Admiral Schofield, Kyle Alexander, and the incredible Grant Williams.

The game will tip at 1:00 PM CST and will be televised on ESPN2.
