A season-low nine true freshmen played against Texas A&M. Seven of them have played in every game, including the four who have started every game.
After 10 freshmen lost the ability to redshirt with the Ole Miss game, another freshman, King Mwikuta, played in his fifth game and now cannot redshirt. So, obviously, that means that 11 of the 26 member (down from 27 members with Antonio Alfano gone) Class of 2019 will not be redshirting. That number will go up.
Justin Eboigbe has now hit the four game threshold, and he will almost definitely play against Tennessee and lose his redshirt. Also at the threshold is Will Reichard, who has been battling a hip flexor injury. He may or may not play against Tennessee; but we can count on him playing again once he is able to.
Keilan Robinson has played in four games as well, so we’ll see how the staff handles that. I would guess, with games still against Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi State, and Western Carolina, that Robinson will see the field at least once more; but it’s just a guess.
Not counting the injured Trey Sanders, there are just five true freshmen who have not played this season.
