Alabama ranked #4 in both AP and Coaches’ Polls

Turns out that losing close to #1 doesn’t hurt too badly.

The only rankings that matter are the ones published by the committee, but Alabama is still in the top four according to the AP Poll and the USA Today Coaches’ poll.

The two polls are in lockstep through seven slots:

  1. LSU
  2. Ohio State
  3. Clemson
  4. Alabama
  5. Georgia
  6. Oregon
  7. Minnesota

The AP poll has Utah, Penn State and Oklahoma rounding out the top ten in that order, while the coaches favor Oklahoma, Utah, Baylor. Again, this means absolutely nothing in terms of the playoff committee, but it shows that a lot of people still think the Tide are in that mix. Stay tuned.

Roll Tide.
