Elite RB Jase McClellan flips from Oklahoma to Alabama

This was rumored for a while, but it’s important nonetheless.

Another important piece fell into place for the 2020 recruiting class, as high four-star running back Jase McClellan flipped to Alabama and signed.

McClellan has been committed to Oklahoma for more than two years, but when Nick Saban and company made a push late, he made the jump. Jase is physically ready to compete right away at a solidly built 202 lbs. on his 5’10” frame. He was highly productive in high school, tallying over 5000 yards on 645 carries and 102 touchdowns in only 33 games.

With the expected departure of bellcow Najee Harris, running back was a major need in this class and the Tide filled it accordingly as McClellan joins fellow blue chips Roydell Williams and Kyle Edwards. At #43 overall he is the fifth highest ranked player that has signed with Alabama this cycle, and was Oklahoma’s top recruit. That has to sting.

Welcome, Jase, and Roll Tide!
