Alabama v. Vanderbilt Game Thread

Alabama Crimson Tide (14-8, 5-4 SEC) at Vanderbilt Soul Wreckers (9-13, 0-9 SEC)

NCAA Basketball: Georgia at Alabama Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports

The Crimson Tide head to Nashville for their bi-annual(ish) loss to the Vanderbilt Commodores in Memorial Gymnasium. Fortunately, Alabama was able to avoid an ugly loss to Georgia at home this past Wednesday, so at least the Tide’s tournament hopes won’t be completely crushed after the loss tonight. It will be tough to follow-up this soul-crushing defeat with a road trip to Starkville on Tuesday, but at least Alabama will have a chance in that one.

The Tide will roll with their typical starting five for tonight’s loss: Kira Lewis, Dazon Ingram, Tevin Mack, Herbert Jones, and Donta Hall. Galin Smith will be a game-time decision tonight based on his recovery from a concussion he experienced the other night against the Bulldogs.

Vanderbilt will roll out some combination of a winless-in-conference-play roster that will play more like Shan Foster, John Jenkins, Festus Ezeli, Jeff Turner, and Will Perdue.

The game tips at 7:30 PM CST and will be televised by the SEC Network, much to the detriment of any Alabama fan with cable television.
