Well, it all comes down to this. Despite a terrible end to the season, Alabama is very much square on the bubble and has a legitimate shot at getting the nod from the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee. While most bracketologists have Alabama on the outside looking in, the Tide may have a better chance than most people are giving them.
We will find out one way or another tonight. The Selection Show will be broadcast on CBS beginning at 5:00 PM CDT. After getting harsh backlash for their terrible decision to reveal the bracket in alphabetical order last season, CBS will go back to revealing the field region by region.
If Alabama does somehow squeak into the Big Dance, they will almost certainly be headed to Dayton to participate in the First Four on either Tuesday or Wednesday night. Otherwise the Tide will be hosting an NIT match-up as a near lock to be a 1-seed. A 2-seed in the NIT is the worst case scenario for this team.
