Matt Zenitz broke the news just moments ago that Crimson Tide guard Kira Lewis has opted to enter his name into the Transfer Portal. With Avery Johnson out as head coach and his replacement being unknown at the time, there is much uncertainty around the program. This move does not completely mean that the talented freshman will leave Alabama. The new coach will have a chance to woo him and bring him back into the fold. For that matter, the same could be said for Dazon Ingram, though he has already said his goodbyes.
Lewis was a bright spot in a disappointing season. He averaged 13.5 ppg, 2.6 reb, 2.9 assists during his freshman campaign in which he started all 34 games and averaged 31.6 minutes per game.
