MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT: Crimson Tide Ear Candy

We’ve spent a lot of time on this one.

Nike.com

At the beginning of 2017, we started working with corporate on establishing a more diverse presence for Roll ‘Bama Roll. We’re an analysis-heavy site, and sometimes you simply don’t have time or the ability to read 1500 words — we get it.

So, we brought in Wes Gullet and Brad Kanning to host RBR’s rather informal podcast series during football season. The reception has been positive: we’ve been able to obtain some top flight guests: Marty Stuart, Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Marq Burnette, Sam Ponder, Phil Steele and others have dropped by to see us.

All of that hard work has paid off.

The podcast has grown so much in the past 16 months that SBN was willing to make a substantial investment in our audio programming.

What does that mean to you?

So, today, I am very pleased to announce that Friday March 8, at 9:30 a.m. central, Roll ‘Bama Roll will be launching our companion audio series for the site. It will begin modestly, with a weekly show, then a week or two later, we will be adding dedicated recruiting content with our regular RBR recruiting staff (SPARQ, holla’). It is our hope to grow the channel and provide you with all the additional Alabama Crimson Tide content that any self-respecting Gump could want.

Professional production; weekly programming; cross-promotions; increased programming; press access....even an actual budget. And that’s all a big deal. So, we invite you to check it out.

Each week, we will cross-post the links for the content on the main RBR site. You can feel free to chime in there. Additionally, you will be able to subscribe to the show from iTunes, Stitcher, Audible, and other applications where you regularly receive your podcast content. You will also be able to stream the episode from our dedicated SoundCloud files that we embed here on the site.

What do we need from you?

Obviously, we need some listeners. This will be a professional effort and we hope you enjoy it. We also would appreciate you giving it a rating or reviewing the shows, particularly those of you on iTunes/Apple Podcasts. The algorithm promotes shows more heavily that are positively reviewed and which have more ratings.

You can also keep up with releases and interact with the show on social:

Facebook: facebook.com/RBRpodcasts
Twitter: twitter.com/RBRpodcasts

Your regular show hosts and Podcasts managers are:

Brad Kanning: Twitter.com/Brad2524
Wesley Gullet: Twitter.com/WesleyGullett

Anyway, that’s our big news. We’ve been working behind the scenes pretty hard, and particularly over the last few months, to make this happen for you. We hope you enjoy it and we look forward to rolling out more new content for you over the coming weeks.

Make sure to check out the re-launch on Friday, and thank you all for growing with us the past dozen years!

Roll Tide,

Erik
