Williams came to Alabama from Folsom, CA as a 5-star prospect and ranked the No. 17 overall player of the Class of 2016. The big offensive lineman was an early enrollee and made an impact from the very beginning.
Jonah Williams will learn pad level & proper base with feet. Chance to be special if it happens. Great tech... https://t.co/y2Mk2RXApv

With All-American and current Jacksonville Jaguars starting tackle Cam Robinson manning the left tackle, Williams claimed the right side as a true freshman. Upon Robinson’s departure to the NFL, Williams would start on the left side for the next two seasons earning All-SEC honors both years and Unanimous All-American and Jacobs Blocking Trophy winner in 2018.
Scouts across the board rave about Williams on every level of his game but some seemed to be hung up on 3/8 of an inch. At the Combine, his arms measured 33 5/8”. Some magical fairy came down from Rainbow Mountain and pronounced that anything less than 34 inches just won’t cut it. But clearly all Bengals front office had to do was turn on game film to see Williams as a 10-year NFL lineman.
The Bengals fans seem pretty happy.
OL U?
