Thursday night begins the softball Super Regionals and the stakes are higher. The Crimson Tide and Longhorns will play a best two-of-three series with the winner moving on to the Women’s College World Series.
In Game 1, Alabama is expected to start freshman Montana Fouts (17-4, 1.20 ERA), while Texas will likely lean on their junior workhorse Miranda Elish (18-9, 1.68 ERA).
While Bama coach Patrick Murphy often tweaks his batting order, the starting 8 in the field are always the same. The most likely lineup is listed below.
