Fresh off the commit of Demouy Kennedy, the Crimson Tide rides the recruiting momentum by accepting the verbal commitment of the state’s top recruit. Quandarrius Robinson made his pledge on Tuesday evening to Alabama. The 6-4.5/217 lbs OLB is rated a high 4-stars and No. 53 in the nation by 247sports Composite. Expect that ranking to go up in the coming months. 247sports non-composite has him No. 41 and Rivals ranks him No. 28. His numbers are eye-popping:
- 40 Yard Dash: 4.52
- Shuttle: 4.32
- Vertical: 30.1
- Powerball: 42
- Bench: 260
The rising senior started out as a safety at Jackson-Olin in Birmingham but as he grew and progressed, he was found more effective at linebacker. He is an explosive edge rusher but projects more as a Will or Sam who can drop back into pass coverage. He may need to put on a few pounds but that should be no problem.
Robinson committed to Auburn last July but decommitted in January 2019. He made his pledge to the Tide on Tuesday while attending a Bama camp in Tuscaloosa as an unofficial visit. He had made an official visit to Kentucky last weekend and had planned on OV-ing Auburn this weekend, followed by Tennessee the next weekend. Needless to say, those plans are probably cancelled. Karl Scott and Sal Sunseri are getting credit for his commitment.
