The first official depth chart of the year is out!

A Whole Bunch of Hyphens

The press has been presented with a Depth Chart for Week 1 vs Duke, but some of the positions have hyphens representing more undecided than concrete starters. Of course some of the instances, such as secondary, are more situational starters. Don’t doubt that Josh Jobe will be a big part of the defense this season.

OL

It may be a depth chart but there is still no decision on the offensive line. Emil Ekiyor appears to be battling Evan Neal for the left guard position. FSU grad-transfer Landon Dickerson could start at center over Chris Owens or at right guard over Matt Womack.

True Freshmen

• Christian Harris is your Will Linebacker.
• Will Reichard has won the kicking job. He is also in the running for punter - a competition that may continue a few more weeks.
• As expected, DJ Dale will be starting at nose guard.

Oddities

• I am not crazy about Trevon Diggs risking injury as back-up punt returner and co-kickoff returner.]
• Tua as holder?

Side Note

Nick Saban said that freshman DL Justin Eboigbe is “questionable” for the Duke game. He missed Thursday and Friday practices with a foot injury.
