Here is the poll as voted on by you, the readers. Five of the Top 10 are from the SEC — with Auburn getting an unreal six-place bump for its win over Oregon. LSU jumped up two spots after pasting an option team that went 3-9 last season.
Other observations:
- Apparently no one actually watches football. I didn’t think Nubber was a Top 25 entering the season, and after seeing them struggle at home against a fairly putrid South Alabama team, I am even more certain of that preliminary assessment.
- Wisconsin was impressive on the road in Tampa. They jumped a few spots and deservedly so.
- I’m pretty sure Notre Dame will be a Top 10 team by season’s end, but they didn’t look the part on Monday night.
- Texas A&M smacked around a 2-10 Texas State team, but didn’t even cover, and yet leapt two spots to 12th. Meanwhile, Washington obliterated last year’s FCS national runner-up, Eastern Washington and moved up one... to 13th. And Utah, which was impressive against a game BYU team on the road is behind both of them.
Here is this week’s poll. Chime in below.
