Two notes: I either missed DeMarcco Hellams and Marcus Banks on the participation report last week, or they were added in after the fact. They played against Duke, and they played again against New Mexico State.
The other is that Pierce Quick was initially listed on the participation report for Duke, but they have since changed that. Quick did play against New Mexico State, which was his debut.

Newcomers
- Landon Dickerson - C
Four true freshmen made their debuts against New Mexico State: King Mwikuta, Tanner Bowles, Pierce Quick, and Jahleel Billingsley. Redshirt freshmen Christian Barmore (who recorded three tackles!) and Jarez Parks both made their debuts as well.
By my count, Taulia Tagovailoa was the only true freshman who played against Duke and did not see the field against New Mexico State.
D.J. Dale, Christian Harris, and Shane Lee all started for the second straight game while Jordan Battle, whom Nick Saban loves, made his first start.
After two games, 17 of the 27 members of the Class of 2019 have now played. Trey Sanders is likely out for year, so that means there are effectively 26 members who could play. Additionally, Justin Eboigbe has been dealing with a foot injury.
