Alabama Softball Picked to Win the SEC

The 2020 Preseason Coaches Softball Poll voters won’t make the same mistake they made last year.

Who won the SEC in 2019??? Alabama did!

This time a year ago, Alabama had a good deal of doubters. At the time, the Southeastern Conference’s preseason poll, as voted on by SEC coaches, picked the Crimson Tide to finish a distant eighth in the league. The impertinence of that opinion of Team23 was motivation that propelled the Tide to a 33-game win streak to start the season, an SEC Championship, and a trip to the World Series semifinals.

Team24 will have to look for motivation elsewhere this season for the coaches were not going to make that mistake twice in a row. This time, the Tide has been voted as the preseason SEC favorite with 11 of the 13 first place votes. Tennessee received the other two.
