The Crimson Tide (8-7, 1-2 SEC, Kenpom: 54 NET: 58) look to reverse course in the series with the hated Auburn Tigers (15-0, 3-0 SEC, Kenpom: 15 NET: 5) in Tuscaloosa tonight, as Bruce Pearl’s unbeaten squad comes to town. Nate Oats, still looking for the first signature win in his short tenure, better have the Tide ready to go against an Auburn team that hasn’t lost a game since last year’s Final Four.
Auburn is currently in the middle of their program’s finest run in school history, and it’s really not even close. With that being said, Oats has his guys playing well right now. Even in their worst shooting performance of the season this past Saturday, they were within a possession of the Kentucky Wildcats in Lexington with about two minutes to play. Vegas opened the line at Auburn -2, meaning the Tigers are only a slight favorite tonight.
What better way to get Oats’ first big win than by ending Auburn’s streak in Coleman Coliseum tonight? The game tips off at 8:00 PM CST and will be televised on ESPN2. It will also be played in front of a sell-out crowd for the home team in what promises to be an intense shootout. Get ready, folks. This one is big.
