It seems counterintuitive for a noon kickoff featuring the, ahem, 13th and 14th best teams in the country, but the Citrus Bowl between Alabama and Michigan brought in some serious ratings.

To be clear, this does not include playoff games as Clemson vs. Ohio State drew 20 million viewers a few days ago, but does include plenty of prime time games. It’s just more proof that people will tune in to see Alabama play in any time slot. Being that the network is poised to take over as the SEC’s flagship network soon, let’s hope this doesn’t give them any bright ideas about putting Alabama on at noon every week.
