Matt Zenitz has some coaching staff news this morning:
Sources: Alabama defensive line coach Brian Baker is expected to move to an off-field role.

Have been told Freddie Roach is the name to keep an eye on for that defensive line job. Have heard he’s expected to be in Tuscaloosa today.https://t.co/yN7YZlPTVA
It has been rumored for a while that there may be a change in that position and it’s good to see that Baker is staying in Tuscaloosa, potentially to fill the role vacated by Burton Burns. It may very well be that Baker is better suited as an in-house closer while some younger guys burn the midnight oil, traveling to remote places and sitting in living rooms.
Freddie Roach is an interesting name to be sure. The Alabama alum served on Saban’s staff in an administrative capacity before moving to Oxford as defensive line coach in 2017. He had also served under Scott Cochran for three years after retiring from the NFL. He was rumored to be heading to New York with new Giants coach Joe Judge, but Ole Miss thought they had managed to hang on to him.
No, nothing has been said about Bo Davis. That ship has likely sailed.
Stay Tuned.
Roll Tide.
