Wake Up! College Football Early Games Open Thread

There’s plenty out there to calm your nerves as you wait for the big one tonight

Another week, another chance for more college football chaos. This one is a bit more limited, as #2 and #3 play each other, so it won’t really be a season-ending upset for whichever team should lose.

Here’s your RBR staff picks for the SEC matchups this week:

We have Auburn and South Carolina scheduled for first thing this morning in what should be a gloriously ugly game. Georgia Tech will look to make life difficult for Clemson for a quarter or two, and Tennesse vs Kentucky just might turn out to be a really fun matchup.

I personally look for Ole Miss to fall flat after spending every ounce of their energy on Alabama, and Arkansas notches yet another win. That could be an entertaining midday diversion. Texas A&M and Miss State is the only other noteworthy afternoon game to watch for, as Mike Leach and the Bulldogs will hope to get their offense back on track while A&M hopes to build on their upset over Florida.

The lack of the Florida-LSU matchup is a hole that’s definitely felt in the scheduling today.
