Well, after a disastrous interception that probably wasn’t an interception on the first play of the game, Alabama’s offense still managed to get the first points of the game. Unfortunately, the Alabama defense couldn’t figure out how to cover a running back out of the backfield (for the 4th straight game) and their offense struggled to find a rhythm as Georgia went and took the lead.

The Tide did tie things up, but then the defense turned around and jumped offsides on 4th and 1, giving Georgia 4 shots at the endzone... And they eventually got one of them. Alabama, to their credit, didn’t just wave a white flag to go to halftime. They pushed the ball downfield with only 23 seconds on the clock and got in range to attempt a 52-yard field goal.

To the surprise of every organic being in this half of the galaxy, the kick was good, and Alabama made it to halftime only trailing by 4 points.
