NSFW: It’s Meltdown Time! Week four

Week four of the SEC football season provided some delicious content for us. Georgia fans had hope again, only to see it dashed at the hands of Nick Saban and Alabama, while Auburn lost at South Carolina and Tennessee was smoked at home by Kentucky.

As usual, the language in the post below is unconscionable. If you are offended even slightly easily, then read no further. You have been warned.

I’ve come to realize Alabama isn’t as good without help from the Refs. The calls and no calls are so laughable. If they didn’t have help from the refs they’d have half the number of championships.

Fuck off. You don’t really believe that do you? There has been at least 5 terrible calls or no calls that have changed the outcome of drives. 91 of those yards were when your receiver pushed the defender down.

It doesn’t really matter. Nick Saban has infected so many people with Covid tonight. He will be the reason the season is canceled.

Our Defense is great with the running game but sucks with the passing game. Bama’s receivers were wide open tonight with no decent coverage. Our QB sucks. I’ve always said that defensive coordinators suck as HC and Kirby has proven that. How many years has he had to beat Bama? Go Dawgs but dammit it’s time to run Kirby off.

I sincerely do not believe that Kirby will ever beat a Saban led Bama team.

Pretty embarrassing for a program of our caliber to trot out a former walk-on with a water pistol for an arm on national TV.

They could not stop our running game. Our lineman and receivers were held on just about every passing call, yet we continued to put the game on Stet’s shoulders. We could have controlled the entire game and kept it away from the referees if we just continued to run. I’m all for throwing the ball 40 times, but it’s not ever going to work with Stetson.

No one likes to admit it but we frankly aren’t very good at defending deep passes against any offense that is remotely competent at those type of throws. We were roasted tonight, against LSU last year, and even against Mizzou a couple seasons ago. Hell, even Gitmo completed a few against us last week. It’s been the one weird Achilles’ heal of a Kirby Smart defense.

These refs.

It’s tough enough to play Bama but to have to play the Refs as well makes it impossible. And Gary Danielson makes me want to puke!

I am just so sick of football not being fun. It is such a drain watching us play even if we win. Gusball was fun for 2013, some of ‘14, a few weeks in ‘16 and ‘17 and that’s been about it. I’m tired of watching players and coaches who have no desire or heart to play the game. I watched this team quit...again! It’s becoming a common occurrence for this team. I can handle a loss when I feel they were giving it their best. But just quitting like they did...unacceptable! So until these “boys” decide they are going to grow up and start working as a team and decide they are going to have a little pride in themselves, their university, and their team, then I refuse to wear any orange or anything with UT on it. I will attend the game, but show nothing but contempt for the individual who has no desire to do their best. I’m not saying anyone should follow my example, but there needs to be a clear message from the fan base that we will no longer accept anything but their best. If you don’t want to be there as a player or coach, then find something else to do on Saturday! No more tolerance for mediocre or half-attempt play. Win or lose I’ll be behind the players giving their all (Eric Gray comes to my mind for his hustle last week). But the players and coaches who have no pride in themselves or their team...no tolerance.

5 Quarters ago the VOLS were top 10 and on an 8 & 1/2 game winning streak

7 Quarters later we are down 27 to an unranked team at home after a 7 to 61 scoring deficit with a clueless QB and coaching staff headed to an Alabama game and a 3-7 record 2020 record in the headlights.

The “VOLS ARE BACK” statements are accurate - we are back to the same sad state left by Jones & Dooley.

Our multi-million dollar stadium - a monument to inferiority. A loyal fan base given time to spend beautiful Saturdays in the colorful mountains hoping for Barnes Basketball to give us something to feel good about.

EXPOSED BY KENTUCKY - Vol football is hopeless and failing - and no longer worth caring about.
