Alabama Football is back!

Another fall Saturday, and, for what feels like the first time in eons, Alabama is set to take to field again. The Tide takes on the Kentucky Wildcats and the most of the SEC is actually getting in on the action again after so many ‘Rona cancellations last week. Texas A&M is still dealing with a bit of an issue, so their game against Ole Miss has been postponed— Which is a real bummer, because that game might have been the most fun one of the weekend.

In case you’re interested, I’m personally up to the 16th-ranked sports media person (out of 330) in Tallysight’s algorithm. I’m not on Erik’s level on the Giving Away Money series yet, but who can be, really?

You could watch Florida hang 70 points on Vanderbilt or Clemson beat the life out of Florida State, but the LSU and Arkansas figures to be the most entertaining game of the morning, in a sadistic sense. I expect some generally sloppy football and some shenanigans in this one.

Indiana and Ohio State might be interesting as well, but I suspect we find out that the top-10 rating for the Hoosiers is a bit of a mirage this week.

Outside of Alabama and Kentucky, there aren’t really any noteworthy games in the afternoon. Virginia Tech and Pittsburgh might be the best of the bunch to flip to when Alabama is commercial breaks. Gross.

The evening should be fun, though. South Carolina and Missouri could get interesting with the Gamecocks having just fired Will Muschamp. And, while Auburn should handle a lifeless Tennessee, I have no doubt the Tigers find a way to make all their fans nervous. Cheer for a meteor to hit BEFORE the inevitable game-winning malarkey.

Oklahoma and Oklahoma State will be clashing at the same time as all the SEC games, and this one is pretty much the battle for the conference. Finally, the Pac-12 will be there to put you to sleep tonight. USC and Utah just might wind up being entertaining.
