This week’s edition of Meitdown Time has a midwestern flavor, as fans of Wisconsin and Nebraska react to their teams’ utterly embarrassing performances against teams from Illinois. The Badgers managed a whopping 7 points in this era of offense to drop a painfully ugly game to Northwestern, turning the ball over five times in the process, while the Cornhuskers were whipped 41-23 at home by Lovie Smith’s Illini. These folks were salty.

I am so sick of whiny fans bitching about the refs. We fucking suck! We just lost to Illinois. I’m also sick of everyone acting like Luke is the 2nd coming of Christ. He is athletic and certainly has many potential attributes, but he is not even close to being a legitimate starting QB in the BIG at this time.

I’m also sick of our offensive play calling. Does Scott Frost draw these plays up on a bar napkin the night before the game? Tecmo bowl- which I love- has more offensive plays then the Luke McCaffery QB keeper, followed by the QB scramble. The kid is going to get killed getting hit 30 times a game.

I am sick of Jurgens snaps- do we practice this and if so does he do this in practice?

I’m also sick of fans saying Scott Frost needs to look in the mirror and self reflect……been hearing this for 3 seasons now and nothing has changed. I don’t know SF personally but my read on him is he is stubborn, hard headed and borderline arrogant af. I’m not sure (unless he magically learns how to coach and develop) we will see anything different on the field.

I also love Husker Mike but I’m sick of the “B” grade he will probably give the team for their performance today.

Finally I’m just sick of losing all the time and being a national joke. Wish I didn’t care so much-as most of you also do- and could just turn that switch off

It’s been a hard enough year already. Why add to the misery with…..whatever that was?

I’ll be working during the Iowa game. Sure enough, on Friday, I’ll have the game on the TV next to me while I work. I was born a Husker, and I’ll die a Husker. But it’s getting harder and harder to give a shit. I haven’t had a loss fuck with me this much in years. Probably not since the Melvin Gordon game.
